Sean “Diddy” Combs was taken from federal prison to a hospital on Saturday after suffering a reported head injury, according to the Los Angeles Times and TMZ.
The 56-year-old music and business mogul is serving a 50-month sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey. Reports say he was rushed to the hospital early Saturday morning for what was described as a “non-life-threatening injury.” He was conscious and speaking before being hospitalized and returned to the prison later that day, TMZ reported. The cause of the injury remains unknown.
“We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances,” a representative for Combs told Variety. “Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
The incident follows recent reports about Combs’ alleged treatment behind bars. A late-September NBC News report claimed he had access to contraband cellphones and used them to scroll Instagram and view nude and sexually explicit images allegedly sent by a former girlfriend. The report also claimed he had access to liquor smuggled in by guards on weekends.
After the report was published, Combs was sanctioned by prison guards for “disruptive conduct” and lost 41 days of good conduct time, delaying his release from January to March 2028.
Combs is currently serving a roughly four-year sentence after being convicted in October 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. His legal troubles have continued while he is incarcerated. Last week, he was ordered to pay NBCUniversal $477,700 in legal fees after losing a $100 million defamation lawsuit over the documentary “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.”
