Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer are officially divorced, according to court records obtained by Page Six.
The former couple’s marital status was terminated on Sept. 21, and both were restored to single status. The judgment was filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday.
However, the divorce is not completely wrapped up. Maguire and Meyer bifurcated their marital status, which means their marriage is legally over while other issues from the divorce are still being resolved. The court documents do not say which issues remain, but they note that all matters other than the dissolution of the marriage will be decided separately. The court also reserved jurisdiction to hear and determine any remaining issues raised by the petition and response.
Maguire, 51, the “Spider-Man” star, and Meyer, 49, a jewelry designer, separated in 2016 after nine years of marriage. Meyer filed for divorce in October 2020, four years after the pair announced their separation. At the time, they said in a joint statement that after deep reflection they had decided to separate, and that raising their children together with love, respect and friendship remained their first priority.
They share daughter Ruby, 19, and son Otis, 17.
Meyer has since moved on with music executive Geoffrey Ogunlesi. The two got engaged in August 2024 and welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, earlier this year.
As Page Six previously reported, Maguire and Meyer agreed to use a private judge to mediate any remaining disputes as they work toward a larger settlement.
