Everton travel to North London on Saturday afternoon for a daunting Premier League clash with Arsenal at the Emirates — a venue that has long been a house of horrors for the Blues. Across 35 visits to Arsenal, Everton have recorded just two wins, five draws and 28 defeats, a grim return that underlines the scale of the task facing them.
If Everton are to leave with anything, they will likely need a combination of good fortune, stubborn defensive resistance and signs of midweek fatigue from the Gunners. Arsenal played in the Champions League in midweek, drawing with Bayern Munich, and Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka is out for this fixture.
David Moyes declined to reveal which players would be available, suggesting there may be a significant team-news development that has not yet been disclosed.
