Robert Kelker-Kelly, the daytime actor who stepped into the role of Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives during the 1990s, has died. He was 62.
A Missouri medical examiner confirmed to TMZ that Kelker-Kelly died on Saturday, Oct. 3. No cause of death has been made public.
Kelker-Kelly became a recognizable figure in daytime drama, with credits on three major soap operas. His daytime career began in 1987, when he was cast on Another World as Sam Fowler.
In 1992, he moved to Days of Our Lives, taking over the part of Bo Brady from Peter Reckell, who had played the character since 1983. Kelker-Kelly remained with the soap for three years, sharing storylines with Kristian Alfonso, who portrayed Hope Williams Brady, and Lisa Rinna, who played Billie Reed. His work as Bo won him the Soap Opera Digest Award for outstanding lead actor in 1994.
The next year, he and Rinna, now 63, were honored as Hottest Couple at the 1995 Soap Opera Digest Awards for their onscreen pairing as Bo and Billie. Both left Days that year, and Reckell later returned to the role.
Years afterward, Rinna wrote about her time working with Kelker-Kelly in her 2026 memoir, describing their relationship as difficult. She alleged that he was verbally abusive and manipulative toward her. Rinna also claimed that after Kelker-Kelly left Days of Our Lives, NBC arranged security for her and Alfonso for several weeks. Kelker-Kelly never publicly responded to those allegations.
After his Days run, Kelker-Kelly continued acting in daytime television and joined General Hospital as Stavros Cassadine. He appeared in that role from 2001 to 2002 and returned for guest appearances in 2013 and 2014.
Beyond acting, Kelker-Kelly was a licensed professional pilot.
His personal life included two marriages. He wed actress Linda Rattner in 1988; they divorced in 1992. He later married Miriam Parrish, his Days of Our Lives costar, in 1997. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2013.
