Amber Siyavus, who appeared as a houseguest on CBS’s “Big Brother,” has died. She was 46.
Siyavus died in Clark County, Nevada, on Friday, Oct. 9, according to records from the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner. Her cause and manner of death are pending.
Siyavus joined the Season 8 cast of “Big Brother” in 2007 while working as a server at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. She was part of the “Late Night Crew” and formed friendships with fellow houseguests Dustin Erikstrup and Jameka Cameron. The season was ultimately won by Dick Donato, whose confrontational and divisive personality made him one of the show’s most memorable contestants.
Longtime “Big Brother” host Julie Chen Moonves paid tribute to Siyavus, sharing a clip from their 2007 interview after Siyavus was evicted.
“Rest in Peace Amber. Hard to believe but I know you are back in our eternal home with our Creator,” Chen Moonves wrote. “Thank you for your heart and honesty. We will remember you with love ❤️.”
